This artwork is composed of 7 layers done in Photoshop. Layer 1 uses a color altered macro photo of peacock breast feathers and the KPT Goo and Pyramid Paint Filters. Layer 2 is the Nanoflower seed image inverted, shifted to the side with the layer mode set to Overlay. Layer 3 is a textural field from another of my pieces with Zoom filter applied and layer mode set to Difference. Layer 4 is a color field with the KPT goo filter applied and layer mode set to Hard Light. Layer 5 is layer 4 duplicated KPT hypertiling filter applied, stretched and distorted with areas removed, layer mode set to Lighten. Layer 6 is the Nanoflower seed image inverted again with parts hypertiled and layer mode set to Luminosity. Layer 7 is a photo from the Mars Rover with edges gooed with KPT, then layer mode set to Overlay.
