This piece is composed of 11 layers and was executed in Photoshop. Layer 1 -color altered macro photo of part of a human body. Layer 2 - same photo with hue shifted and Hard light layer filter applied. Layer 3 - macro and nano seed image, color altered with Difference filter applied . Layer 4 - macro of cross-cut piece of wood with Multiply filter applied. Layer 5 - seed image colorized, KPT fluid filter applied and Overlay layer filter applied. Layer 6 - seed image colorized, KPT goo filter applied and Pin Light layer filter applied. Layer 7 - seed image colorized, KPT rad wrap filter applied KPT hypertiling filter applied, and Screen layer filter applied at 71% with drop shadow added. Layer 8, 9, 10 - smaller versions of above without the hypertiling filter, colorization or drop shadow, images, all have been rotated to form a sand dollar shape. Layer 11 - seed image micro and nano, colorized, KPT projection filter applied, Photoshop plastic wrap filter applied.
