The image was processed in Photoshop CS using color filters, layers, different brushes, rendering and light effects.
The microscopic images are fascinating and very challenging both for a scientist and an artist. I think every microscopist who has some artistic talent should try to speculate the beauty of the micrographs, or to donate some nice images which are not scientifically useful, but could be spectacular by casual errors. Here are some suggestions which I’d like to make:
For a better information of the general public of what NANOART is, each artwork could keep a small SCALE BAR (in microns) of the micrograph in a corner (may be close to the signature), to show the real magnification of the structures – could be a nice logo for every artwork, to be recognized as nanoart work.
Starting to set up an international collection of seeds, to be used for artistic processing and initiate a permanent online exhibition on the website, with selections, featuring and prizes.
