Organ pipes
In the center of the collage, somewhat modified image of a box-shaped graphene nanostructure is given. On the left and on the right, the images of real organ pipes are shown. In Photoshop, a flip image of the nanostructure was added to its original image, then the perspective equal to the perspective of the real organ pipes was applied to the obtained pair. After overlaying the real organ pipes, a color palette of the modified image of the nanostructure was adjusted to be similar to the palette of the real organ pipes. Width of the large facet of the box-shaped nanostructure makes approximately 30 nm, small – 19 nm. Depth of the cavity is 8 nm. Thickness of the wall/facet is about 1 nm. The image of the box-shaped graphene nanostructure was obtained by author of the artwork at the Institute of Physical Problems named after F. V. Lukin on the scanning tunneling microscope (STM) Solver™ P4 (NT-MDT Co., Russian Federation).
